North Perth Dynamites Netball Club Inc is run by volunteer parents or guardians of players.  We are a volunteer-run community club, and our volunteers are essential to providing a positive experience for our players and families.

As the club grows, so does the work required to run our teams, competitions and events. Every family is therefore expected to contribute to the club through at least one volunteering activity each season, in addition to compulsory game-day duties such as timing, scoring and bringing fruit.

What does volunteering look like?

Your contribution can be a regular team role or a collection of smaller tasks throughout the season. There are many ways to get involved, including:

  • Coaching or assistant coaching – express your interest as a coach
  • Taking on a Team Manager role
  • Helping at Open Days, Come & Try events and presentations
  • Supporting club communications, photography or newsletters
  • Helping with equipment and club facilities
  • Assisting with fundraising, sponsorship or grant applications
  • Umpiring – express your interest as an umpire
  • Supporting player, coach or volunteer recruitment
  • Joining the committee or helping with a one-off project

Essential team roles

Some volunteer roles are particularly important to ensuring our teams can participate each season.

Team Managers: Every team must have a volunteer Team Manager before team registrations can be finalised. Team Managers support coaches, communicate with families and help their team run smoothly. All parents should be prepared to take on this role if required.

Net Set Go Coaches: For our Years 2–4 teams, we strongly encourage parent volunteers to coach. Support, resources and training are available, and previous coaching experience is not required. Where a parent coach cannot be secured, the club will seek to appoint a senior player where possible. An $80 coaching levy per player may apply in these circumstances to help cover the cost of coaching.

Our shared responsibility

Our aim is to make volunteering a normal part of being a Dynamites member, rather than relying on the same small group of people each season.

Volunteer participation will also be considered when reviewing registrations for future seasons. Families who consistently choose not to contribute may not be prioritised for registration in future seasons.

For full details, including expectations, roles and arrangements, please refer to the Dynamites Volunteer Participation Policy.
