Coaching
At our club, coaching is open to anyone who is willing to help, learn, and support our players. You don’t need to be an expert netballer – you just need enthusiasm, reliability and a positive attitude.
You can coach if you:
- Enjoy working with children and creating a fun, supportive environment
- Are willing to learn basic netball skills and simple training drills
- Can commit to weekly training sessions and Thursday, or Friday or Saturday games (depending on competition)
- Are able to model our club values: participation, teamwork and respect.
What support is available for first-time coaches?
We make sure new coaches feel supported from day one. You’ll have access to:
- Coaching Coordinators – A friendly team who can help plan drills, build player skills, and even attend some training sessions or games with you.
- Competition Coordinators – Here to guide you through all the admin and match-day processes.
- Coaching Essentials Training (optional for parent coaches) – Courses provided by the club to help you learn the basics and build confidence.
- Joint Training Sessions – The option to run combined training sessions with other teams and coaches to share ideas and support each other.
- Team Manager Support – Each team has a manager to handle communication and admin, so you can focus on coaching.
