Four clubs, one park, one morning. Netball, tennis, fitness and community, all under the sun at Robertson Park on Sunday 17 May.
Sunday 17 May is going to be a big one for North Perth. Dynamites Netball Club, Robertson Park Tennis Centre, Tennis Central and Busy Girls Club are throwing open the doors at Robertson Park for Game On, a free community morning that brings together everything the park is for.
Game On is our way of saying hello. Robertson Park became the Dynamites home base in December 2024, and this year we are sharing that story with the wider community. Tennis Central and Robertson Park Tennis Centre run the courts next door, Busy Girls Club delivers its women’s fitness programme on the lawn, and together the four clubs cover just about every sport, skill level and age group you could want.
What’s happening on the day
- 9amRun Club with Busy Girls Club, and Netball Fun Court with Dynamites.
- 10amWorkout with Busy Girls Club, Junior Hotshots and open sessions with Robertson Park Tennis and Tennis Central, plus Walking Netball for a gentler game.
- 11:15amYoga on the lawn with Busy Girls Club.
- All morningGym Games with prizes, plus a sign-up table for anyone who wants to join one of the clubs.
Every activity is free. You do not need to book, though registering through our Humanitix page helps us plan numbers. Bring water, court shoes if you have them, and whatever mood you turn up in. There is space for absolute beginners, and for players wanting to sharpen up before the winter season.
Why we are doing this
Dynamites has always been more than Saturday games. Robertson Park sits right in the middle of the City of Vincent, and Game On is our way of opening it up. Sharing the space with Tennis Central, Robertson Park Tennis Centre and Busy Girls Club means children, parents, grandparents and first-time movers can all find something to try.
That is what matters to us. A club does not have to be a closed door. It can be the reason a nine-year-old picks up a netball for the first time, or a mum turns up for yoga, or a family discovers Sunday mornings at Robertson Park.
Before you come
Winter season is only weeks away, and we are still taking registrations for a handful of age groups. If you have been thinking about playing netball this year, Game On is the day to come down, meet the coaches, see the courts and make the call.
