Our club
North Perth Dynamites Netball Club Inc (Dynamites). is a vibrant and inclusive community netball club located in North Perth, Western Australia.
We proudly bring together players from diverse primary and secondary schools across the City of Vincent area, including North Perth, Kyilla, Mount Lawley, Mercedes, Saint George’s, Aranmore, and many more.
As the only community netball club within the City of Vincent, we’re thrilled to call Robertson Park (link to contact us page) on Fitzgerald Street our training and club home as of December 2024. We’re also proud members of the Perth Netball Association, with our games played at the Matthews Netball Courts in Jolimont.
Our club welcomes players from Year 2 through to Open Grade, competing across the Winter and Spring seasons. We’re passionate about fostering both social and physical growth through the friendships and teamwork that come from being part of the Dynamites family. We believe in our Philosophy and Code of Conduct and are committed to demonstrating these behaviours on and off the court.
Our history
The North Perth Dynamites Netball Club was originally established by a dedicated group of parents from North Perth Primary School in 2008. As the club grew, it became clear that formalising its structure would support its expansion. In March 2018, Dynamites officially became an Incorporated Sporting Club, laying the foundation for its future.
In 2019, Dynamites took a significant step forward by entering their inaugural Year 7/8 team into the Perth Netball Association (PNA) competition. The decision was driven by the recognition that the City of Vincent and surrounding suburbs lacked an inclusive netball club that catered to all school-aged children. Other netball clubs in the area often operated on a trial-only basis, leaving some players without opportunities to play.
Dynamites’ vision has always been to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child who wants to play netball has the chance to do so (as long as we have enough people to form a team!). This vision stems from the collective belief of parents and community members that netball is more than just a sport. It’s a platform for building community, fostering positive mental health, and developing essential social skills and lifelong friendships.
Looking ahead, North Perth Dynamites continues to grow. By 2026, the club is projected to support 16 teams and over 200 players, cementing its role as a cornerstone of inclusive netball in the local area.
