5.1 To consider and, if thought fit, pass the special resolution set out below to edit the existing model rules (constitution) including an updated financial year.

Special Resolution

That the Club edit its existing model rules (constitution) as per the table titled “Model Rules (Constitution) Table of changes as at 20/9/25” which, among other updates, changes the Club’s financial year to 1 October – 30 September, effective from the date the alteration takes effect under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (WA).

(This resolution is intended to be proposed as a special resolution.)

Explanatory Note (non-binding)

  • The proposed changes modernises the Club’s rules.
  • The financial year will run 1 October – 30 September to better match the netball season.
  • If passed, the changes do not take effect until the required documents are lodged (and, where applicable, approved) with Consumer Protection WA; lodgement must occur within one month of the meeting.

Quorum & Voting

• Quorum for a general meeting is six (6) members entitled to vote; if not present within 30 minutes, a Special General Meeting lapses.

• A special resolution requires at least 75% of votes cast in favour of the people attending SGM.

Attendance by Technology

Members may attend by teams or telephone or other instantaneous communication with prior approval. Please contact the Secretary for details.

This notice is issued at least 21 days before the Special General Meeting in accordance with the Club’s rules.
