Seasons
North Perth Dynamites has teams in two exciting netball seasons every year, each with its own unique vibe:
Winter Season
From April to September, the PNA Winter Competition brings netballers from Primary School to Open divisions onto the courts. Games are played on Friday nights (Net Set Go) or Saturdays (Year 5 upwards) for an action-packed winter of netball! The winter season is the primary netball season, and is considered the more “serious” season, with training, and coaching provided. Unless otherwise noted, the content on the website focuses on the Winter season rather than spring.
- Play Winter Season Net set Go
- Play Junior Winter Season 5-6
- Play Junior Winter Season 7-8
- Play Junior Winter Season 9-12
Spring Season
The Spring Netball Competition takes a more fun, social approach! Held on weeknights during Term 4 of school terms (October to November), this eight-week season includes Net Set GO through to Seniors, along with various mixed divisions and even Walking Netball. Registrations open in early August, and unlike the Winter season, there are no finals—just good times and great games!
Spring Team Registrations
For the Spring season, teams are organised by North Perth Dynamites parents/guardians and registered directly with PNA.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Team Structure: Teams arrange their own coach and manager, typically filled by Dynamites parents/guardians or Dynamites players directly. Teams also organise and cover costs for their own umpire.
- Casual Atmosphere: There’s no training required, although teams are welcome to arrange their own if desired.
How we support players in Spring
We’re here to help! Dynamites members can enjoy these perks during Spring:
- Uniforms: Teams are encouraged to wear the North Perth Dynamites Club uniform.
- Game Bags: Borrow a game bag with essentials like balls, bibs, a timer, and a First Aid kit for $100 (with a $50 refund when the bag is returned). Just contact our Equipment Coordinator to reserve yours. Your team manager will be sent an invoice that requires payment.
Need a Player, Umpire, or Coach?
Try these options:
- Umpire Assistance: Our Umpire Coordinator can connect you with available umpires. Just email her for details. Payment for umpires will be between $20.00 to $35.00 a game depending on the experience/accreditation of the umpire.
- Social Media: Post on the PNA Facebook page to find players, umpires, or coaches, or the pinned post on the North Perth Dynamites Facebook page to connect with others!
Spring Netball Registration
Visit the Perth Netball Association website for everything you need to know, including an information pack. Remember:
- Returning Players: Winter 2025 players won’t pay an additional affiliation fee if you register with the same PlayHQ account.
- Team Fees: Pay your share of team fees to the team organiser/team manager who registers your group with PNA. It is usual for this fee to also include umpire and equipment bag fee.
- Grading: The team organiser/team manager will select a grade for your team. Depending on the year group of the team, PNA may regrade:
- Junior Year 5 and 6 Competition: Regrading will occur after round 3.
All ladders will reset to zero. - Year 7 – Open Competition: Regrading may occur after round 2.
Teams moved during the regrade will receive 2 points and an average of the FOR and AGAINST points of the grade they move into.
- Junior Year 5 and 6 Competition: Regrading will occur after round 3.
With these options, you’ll be set for an amazing Spring netball season—good luck, and enjoy the game!
