  • Community activities and fun for the whole family
  • Prizes to be won on the day

📣  Call for Player Volunteers — High School Teams

We are asking for two players from each high school team to volunteer on the day to help with community activities and fundraising. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back, build leadership skills and be part of something special in the community.

Volunteers will not miss their specialist coaching session — your session time is protected. We just need your energy and enthusiasm for the community activities around it.

If you’re keen to put your hand up, let your coordinator know!

👋  Volunteers Needed

Dynamites runs on the incredible effort of our volunteer community. We are currently looking for help in two areas:

Hyundai Raffle Coordinator

Help us organise and manage the upcoming Hyundai raffle. Great experience in event logistics and community fundraising.

Grant Writers

If you have experience writing grant applications or working in funding, we would love to hear from you. There are some exciting projects we are pursuing for the club.

If you can help, please reach out via our website or Instagram. Every hour of volunteer time makes a real difference to our players.

🏃  5 Ways to Get Fit for Winter Season

The season is almost here — here are some age-appropriate tips to hit the ground running:

Years 2–6 🌟 Years 7–12 ⚡
🏃 Play TAG — chasing games build speed and agility naturally ⚡ Interval running: 30 seconds fast, 30 seconds walk × 10 rounds
🎯 Throw a ball against a wall to sharpen hand-eye coordination 💪 Bodyweight circuits: squats, lunges, push-ups, planks — no gym needed
🚴 Ride or scooter to school instead of being driven 🧘 Add 5 minutes of stretching daily to prevent injury
🤸 Try 10 minutes of stretching before bed each night 😴 Prioritise 8–9 hours of sleep — recovery is part of training
💧 Drink water instead of juice — hydration equals energy 🥗 Fuel with whole foods: protein, complex carbs, plenty of veg
🏅  Coach Spotlight
Kym – 9/12 Coach
Kym
Coach  ·  9–12 Team  ·  7 Years at Dynamites

Kym first stepped onto the sideline seven years ago when her daughter joined the club — and she hasn’t looked back since. Now one of Dynamites’ most experienced coaches, she brings deep commitment and genuine warmth to her 9–12 team each week.

For Kym, coaching has always been about more than netball. She loves watching young players grow through the challenges of team sport — developing resilience, learning to handle pressure and discovering what they’re made of. “It’s all the other skills,” she says. “You see them mature in ways that go well beyond the game.”

Kym is also deeply passionate about keeping teenage girls in sport. She’s seen first-hand how many drop away during high school years and believes that the right community — the right coach — can change that trajectory. Her goal is simple: make sure every girl who comes to Dynamites feels supported, seen, and wants to come back next season.
